Collection: Whirlpool Tub Heaters

Whirlpool tub heaters help maintain bathwater temperature while the pump is operating. They are not designed to rapidly heat a bathtub filled with cold water.

Shop 115/120V replacement heaters in tee-style, inline pressure, and inline vacuum configurations. Whirly Bros also carries heater unions, tailpieces, gaskets, plumbing fittings, and other installation components.

Choose the Correct Heater Style

Heater Style How to Identify It Replacement Option
Tee Style Connects to a pump tee assembly and is commonly pressure activated. CT100-BLP-ET Tee Heater
Inline Pressure Installs in the water line and uses an integrated pressure switch. PH101-15UP Pressure Heater
Inline Vacuum Installs in the water line and uses an integrated vacuum switch. CT101-D Vacuum Heater

Pressure, vacuum, and tee-style heaters are not automatically interchangeable. Match the original heater configuration before ordering.

650W vs. 1500W Heaters

  • 650W heaters: Lower electrical demand and intended for systems originally designed for a 650W heater.
  • 1500W heaters: Provide stronger temperature maintenance in compatible systems but commonly draw approximately 12–12.5 amps.

Many 1500W installations require a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit. Do not upgrade from 650W or another lower-wattage heater to 1500W until the electrical supply, plumbing, controls, and local code requirements have been verified.

What to Check Before Ordering

  • Original heater part number and label
  • 115/120V electrical rating
  • 650W or 1500W wattage
  • Tee, pressure-switch, or vacuum-switch operation
  • Standard heater-body length—many replacements use a 7-inch body
  • Plumbing diameter and included tail fittings
  • Available installation space and fitting orientation

Do not select a heater by bathtub brand alone. Manufacturers sometimes used different heater styles across production years and individual bathtub models.

Replacing a Discontinued Heater

Many discontinued whirlpool tub heaters can be replaced when the voltage, wattage, activation method, body length, and plumbing connections match. In most cases, replacing the heater is far less expensive than replacing the complete bathtub.
