Will This Fit My Spa?
The BP7 platform provides a replacement path for older Balboa VS, GS, and EL systems, including systems using ML-series topside controls, when upgraded to a compatible TP or SpaTouch interface. This kit includes the TP600 keypad for that conversion.
Fitment depends on your spa’s equipment and installation requirements. Before ordering, verify:
-
Pumps and accessories: voltage, pump speeds, current requirements, and connections.
-
Equipment layout: jet pumps, circulation pump, blower, ozone, and lighting.
-
Physical fit: control-box mounting space, heater plumbing alignment, and keypad opening.
Equipment cords, plumbing, or the existing keypad opening may require modification. The included adapter plate should be checked against your spa’s opening.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between G6406 and G6405?
Both kits feature a BP7 control system with a 4.0kW heater. The G6406 includes the TP600 keypad, while the G6405 includes the TP500. Their keypad overlays and adapter plates also differ.
Can I reuse my existing pumps?
Often, provided their voltage, speeds, current requirements, and connections are compatible with the selected BP7 configuration. Existing cords may need replacement or adaptation.
Does the TP600 keypad determine how many pumps I can connect?
Equipment support depends on the BP7 system’s outputs and selected configuration. Keypad button labels alone do not confirm compatibility.
Will the included adapter plate cover my old keypad opening?
Check the keypad and adapter-plate dimensions against your existing opening before ordering.
Does this arrive configured for my hot tub?
The BP7 must be checked and configured for your spa’s connected equipment during installation. Factory settings may need adjustment.
Installation
Installation and configuration should be completed by a qualified spa technician or electrician following the supplied Balboa instructions. Verify electrical supply requirements, equipment voltages, connections, and heater alignment before operation.
